The Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer is one of the most iconic guitar effects pedals ever created, leaving a lasting impact across multiple genres of electric guitar music. Since its debut in 1979, it has become a mainstay on the pedalboards of countless legendary guitarists.

The TS808 gained widespread popularity in the early 1980s, largely due to its association with guitarists like Stevie Ray Vaughan. Vaughan's use of the TS808 was pivotal in crafting his powerful blues tone, which seamlessly blended clean and distorted sounds.

Central to the TS808's sound is its famous JRC4558D chipset, known for delivering smooth, warm overdrive. This circuitry produces a natural overdrive that closely emulates the sound of a tube amplifier pushed into distortion, which is how the pedal earned its "Tube Screamer" name.

The one we have here dates back to 1981. It’s a rare "no trademark" and "no nut" version on the power jack, equipped with the sought-after JRC4558D Japanese chipset. It functions perfectly, just as it should!

The Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer is more than just a pedal; it's a significant piece of music history!
