Gibson L00 first were introduced between 1929 and early 1931 but only appeared officially in the 1932 Gibson catalog.
The more common examples of this small flat top model have the following specs : Black finish, spruce top, mahogany back and sides, top binding only (back binding available in 1937), tortoise pickguard (some early models had white pickguard).
This model was available until 1945 when Gibson decided to stop the production.
This one from 1939 (with back binding) is a player with ton of mojo. It has been played for 85 years and is ready for more decades.
It has an old and stable top repair on the treble side with a touch up. We think this repair has been done more than 40-50 years ago.
The Gibson L00 is considered as the ultimate cowboy guitar that will never let you down. Loved and played by great guitar players such as Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, Ryan Adams, Duane Allman, Derek Trucks just to name a few.
Comes with a modern and very protective Gator hardcase
